I have been noticing a strange "anti-aging" process going on in my general attitude and temperament. Instead of becoming more cynical, bitter, angry, etc I am becoming less of those things. Also, prisons suck. Someone I knew got sentenced before I wrote this. They got a much shorter sentence than expected, but it still made me think about how it's the role of judges on a day-to-day basis to forcibly remove people from their communities. The impact of that cannot be quantified or comprehended, least of all by the judges themselves.
